Blue Springs Mayor Chris Lievsay Issues Official Proclamation in Celebration of National Assisted Living Week at Benton House of Blue Springs Senior Living
Blue Springs, MO — 9-17-25 — In recognition of National Assisted Living Week, the City of Blue Springs is proud to announce that Mayor Chris Lievsay visited Benton House Senior Living to issue an official proclamation honoring the vital role assisted living communities play in supporting older adults and their families.
The event, on Monday, September 8, featured a special ceremony at Benton House Senior Living located at 1701 NW Jefferson St., Blue Springs. During the ceremony, Mayor Chris Lievsay presented the formal proclamation to Benton House leadership, staff, residents, and their loved ones, highlighting this year’s National Assisted Living Week theme, “Ageless Adventure”.
National Assisted Living Week, observed annually, recognizes the commitment and compassionate care provided by staff and celebrates the meaningful relationships fostered within assisted living communities. The week also offers an opportunity to acknowledge and thank the residents who enhance these communities with their wisdom, experience, and stories.

The proclamation is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the important role our residents play in making Benton House a supportive and vibrant community,” said Kim Davis, Executive Director of Benton House of Blue Springs Senior Living.
The Benton House team will be hosting various activities throughout the week, welcoming family members and community partners to participate in honoring both residents and caregivers.
